Scott Solkoff
Scott Solkoff created Berkshire Trust Advisory Services Corporation in 2002, having first served thousands of elderly and disabled Floridians in his nationally-known Elder and Disability Law practice. Scott's work and comments on the public policy affecting the elderly and disabled have been positively covered in such publications as the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, all major Florida newspapers, Kiplinger's Magazine and numerous other mainstream and professional publications.
Scott has dedicated his professional career to advocacy for the elderly and disabled. He has served as the President of the Academy of Florida Elder Law Attorneys, as Chair of The Florida Bar's Elder Law Section and as a Director of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. Scott has accepted appointments to a number of government commissions where he has helped to create new and lasting protections for the elderly and disabled and is one of a few attorneys to drive Medicaid cases through the appellate courts. Scott is certified as a specialist in Elder Law by The Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization. Scott was recognized in 2004 as among the “Best of the Bar,” by the South Florida Business Journal, being the only attorney selected in the field of elder and disability law. Among Scott’s most treasured recognitions is when his peers awarded him the Charlotte Brayer Public Service Award for his “selfless commitment to the elderly and disabled.”
